Referral Process, fees and rebates

Neuroinsight fees are in line or below the recommended rates set by the Australian Psychological Society (current recommended fee is $311 per hour). Service fees vary across services.

  • You can refer yourself, a family member, or someone under your guardianship, directly for any of our services. It depends on the aim of the service, so please contact so we can advise you

  • You may also be referred for neuropsychological assessment, by a medical doctor such as your GP, Psychiatrist, Paediatrician or Neurologist

  • For medicolegal assessments you will be referred by another third party such as your lawyer, TAC, your insurer, your employer or the court overseeing the matter

  • We do not accept self-referrals or family-referrals but will require referral from a third party

    • Self-managed NDIS participants can contact Neuroinsight directly to organise and schedule psychological services.

    • For plan managed NDIS participants, their planner can typically organise and schedule psychological services.

    • For agency managed NDIS participants, the agency will typically organise and schedule psychological services

Rebates

Unfortunately, there are no Medicare rebates for a neuropsychological assessment.

Contact your private health insurance provider to find out if they offer (part) rebates for psychological consultations.

Fees

Our clinical services fees are listed below. The recommended services will depend on the nature of the referral, complexity, and purpose. Service fees vary across services. Even with private health insurance, there will still be a gap payment for you.

  • Start from $2700.

    A typical neuropsychological assessment takes between 8-15 hours of work

  • The hourly fee for NDIS-funded services is $244.22

    NDIS item 0128 (non-remote): assessments, recommendations, therapy and/or training

  • You will have to pay up to the full fee for a neuropsychological consultation, when you cancel within 48 hours of the scheduled time or if you do not attend your scheduled appointment.
